Cordouan Lighthouse is the oldest of the French lighthouses still in operation (built between 1584 and 1611). The Cordouan lighthouse is located seven kilometers from the coast and on the Cordouan plateau at the mouth of the Gironde estuary (France). Declared a historical monument in 1862. Its architectural grandeur and the result of a long and turbulent history, has made Cordouan the "Versailles of the sea". The tower measures 67.5 meters and has a range of 21 miles. Miniature resin lighthouse, hand painted. A beautiful decorative souvenir.
