The Créac'h lighthouse was built in 1863 west of the island of Ouessant (Bretagne-France). Its tower measures 55 m. The Créac'h, which means "promontory" in Breton, is one of the most powerful lighthouses in the world, with a range of 32 miles. On May 23, 2011 it was cataloged as a historical monument.
