Located in the Iroise Sea, off Le Conquet, Pierres Noires Lighthouse stands on a dangerous group of reefs. Built between 1867 and 1871, it was designed to mark the southern entrance to the Chenal du Four and make navigation safer through these challenging waters. Its distinctive red-and-white tower, exposed to powerful currents and Atlantic storms, is an iconic feature of Finistère’s maritime landscape.
