LE FOUR LIGHTHOUSE POSTER – PORSPODER - Brittany

This poster pays tribute to Le Four Lighthouse, one of Finistère’s famous offshore lighthouses. Standing on a rocky outcrop off the coast of Porspoder, it marks the entrance to the Chenal du Four, a maritime passage renowned for its powerful currents and sometimes challenging conditions. Construction began in 1869, and the lighthouse was first lit in 1874. Rising directly from the ocean, its stone tower has faced the Atlantic for more than a century. Generations of lighthouse keepers carried out their duties here in particularly exposed conditions.
