This poster pays tribute to Eckmühl Lighthouse, one of Finistère’s most iconic maritime landmarks. Located at the tip of Penmarc’h, it was inaugurated and first lit in 1897 to improve navigation safety along this particularly exposed stretch of coastline. Standing over 60 metres high, it takes its name from the Prince of Eckmühl and was largely financed through a bequest from his daughter, the Marquise de Blocqueville. Its majestic stone tower still dominates the landscape of Audierne Bay today. With its vintage graphic style, this poster celebrates the elegance of this exceptional lighthouse and Brittany’s rich maritime heritage.
